About Agata
Hi! I'm Agata, a TEFL certified English tutor with a Master’s in Engineering. I help learners in science, technology, and engineering improve their English for work, study, and everyday life. I grew up bilingual and I’m currently learning Portuguese, so I really understand how challenging (but fun!) learning a new language can be. That’s why I focus on making lessons relaxed and encouraging, a space where you can speak freely, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace. I love meeting and helping learners from all over the world and hearing your stories and reasons for learning English. Outside of teaching, I’m into photography and enjoy books that are a little strange, in the best way!

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and built around your goals, if that’s for work, study, or everyday life. I follow a clear structure based on my TEFL training, usually starting with a warm-up and recap of our last lesson, followed by a focus on new language, and finishing with a practical task where you can use what you’ve learnt. You'll get: 1 hour lessons A mix of conversation, vocabulary, and grammar tailored to your needs Real-world materials like TED Talks, articles, and short videos Lessons focused on your chosen topics and interests, such as: Writing reports or emails Support with understanding and using technical vocabulary and industry-specific language, so you can communicate clearly in your field Preparing for interviews or presentations Speaking more naturally and confidently at work and socially Understanding local phrases and British culture I also create and share personalised lesson materials through a Notion dashboard, so you’ll have access to all your notes, homework, and resources in one place.
