About Omid
My name is Omid, and I'm a second-year Statistics and Computer Science student. Academics have always mattered to me. I ranked in the top 10 of my class through three different schools, and I currently maintain a GPA above 3.8. I know what it takes to actually understand material, so you can use it later on in your workplace, in the future, apply it in your career.
I got here the hard way. I'm largely self-taught outside the classroom. I've spent years building technical skills on my own, which means I understand what it's like to be stuck on a concept with no one explaining it in a way that is understood. That experience shapes how I teach. I don't assume something is "obvious," and I don't move on until it actually makes sense to you, not just to me.
I take tutoring seriously. If you book a session with me, you're getting someone who prepares, who pays attention to where you specifically are struggling, and who won't waste your time or your money repeating a textbook you could read yourself. My goal in every session is simple. You should leave understanding something you didn't understand an hour before.
If you're studying statistics, computer science, or programming and need someone patient, direct, and genuinely invested in your progress, I'd be glad to work with you.

To be honest, most tutoring is a waste of your money. You sit there, someone reads you the textbook slower than you could've read it yourself, and you leave just as confused, just poorer. That's not what happens here with me.
I don't teach to fill an hour. I don't teach to empty your pockets so you can leave memorizing some useless, outdated techniques. I teach to fix the exact thing that's breaking your understanding and I try to find it fast, because I've spent years being the student who had to figure out the hard way what actually works and what doesn't.
First session, I find out exactly where your understanding breaks down in detail. Most students don't have a "stats problem" or a "coding problem" . They have one concept from three weeks ago that never clicked, and everything since has been built on sand. I help you find that concept first.
A typical lesson would look like this; We start with a quick problem you're stuck on. Something real, from your actual coursework. I walk you through the logic behind it, so you could rebuild the solution from scratch under pressure. Then you do a similar problem yourself, live, while I watch. Because if you can't do it while I'm sitting there, you definitely can't do it alone on exam day. We end every session with you explaining the concept back to me in your own words. If you can teach it, you know it. If you can't, that's exactly where we start next time.
I'm a Statistics and Computer Science student, top-10 ranked through school and university, currently maintaining a 3.8+ GPA. I may not be a professional tutor yet, but, believe me when I tell you, I've been through hard times with my own teachers. Teachers who just read from slides. Teachers who don't even let you finish your sentence, who don't even listen to your problems. I'm someone who's actively in the material, applying it in real coursework and real projects right now. I know what actually trips students up because I've tripped on the same things recently, not a decade ago. I understand students, because I'm a student myself.
This is for university and college-level students in Statistics, Computer Science, or introductory programming who are tired of lessons that don't move the needle. I get it, you want someone who gets to the point, respects your time, and makes sure you actually understand the material well enough to use it, not just pass a test on it.
