About Elias
I am a Master's student in Biomedical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, with a strong passion for science, education, and helping students succeed. I began tutoring informally in high school and later worked as a peer tutor at Cégep de Valleyfield through the college’s tutoring program.
What motivates me most as a tutor is seeing a concept “click” for a student. I know how frustrating it can feel to be stuck on a problem, and how much confidence it builds once it becomes clear. That moment is what I always aim to create in my sessions.
Outside of tutoring, I value clear communication, patience, and adapting to each student’s way of learning. I work with students at the high school, CEGEP, and university levels, and I adjust my explanations to match their pace and goals. I can also support students with different learning needs, making sure the environment stays supportive and pressure-free.
Whether you're looking to strengthen your foundations or succeed in a demanding program, I’m here to help you make steady, confident progress in either English or French.

I hold a degree in Engineering Physics and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. My passion is helping students grasp complex concepts in a simple, intuitive way. Whether you're struggling with a difficult topic, preparing for an important exam, or aiming for top grades, my goal is to help you build confidence and become an independent problem solver.
My approach to tutoring is centered on understanding rather than memorization. I believe that once a student understands the reasoning behind a concept, formulas and problem-solving techniques become much easier to remember and apply. Every lesson is adapted to the student's needs, learning style, and objectives.
A typical session begins by identifying the concepts that are causing difficulty. I then explain the material using clear examples, visualizations, and step-by-step reasoning before working through practice problems together. As confidence grows, I gradually encourage students to solve problems independently while providing guidance and feedback. For students preparing for quizzes, midterms, finals, or entrance exams, I also focus on study strategies, exam techniques, and avoiding common mistakes.
My tutoring experience spans high school, CEGEP, and university. During high school, I regularly helped classmates with mathematics and science courses. At Cégep de Valleyfield, I worked as a peer tutor through the college's tutoring program, assisting students in English and other subjects. During my university studies, I continued helping fellow students with mathematics, physics, programming, and engineering coursework.
I also welcome students with special needs, learning differences, or disabilities. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to create a patient, supportive, and encouraging environment where questions are always welcome and learning can happen at a comfortable pace.
I can help with:
• Mathematics
• Calculus
• Linear Algebra
• Physics
• Statistics
• Python Programming
• Engineering and STEM courses
My lessons are available for:
• High school students
• CEGEP students
• University students
• Adult learners returning to school
I teach in both English and French and work with students of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you're looking to pass a challenging course, improve your grades, prepare for an exam, or develop a deeper understanding of STEM subjects, we'll build a plan around your goals and work together to help you succeed.
