About Kiara

Hello! My name is Kiara Ileuova, and I specialize in teaching English reading and spelling to young learners and beginners. As someone who grew up surrounded by stories and languages, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the power of words—and I’m passionate about helping children discover that same joy through supportive, engaging lessons. With a creative and student-centered approach, I focus on building strong foundations in phonics, vocabulary, and reading fluency. Every lesson is personalized to match the student’s learning style and needs, whether they are just starting to read or need extra help with spelling and comprehension. My lessons often include storytelling, interactive games, and visual tools that make learning English feel natural and fun. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with learners on a personal level. Growing up in a large family, I’ve learned to be patient, encouraging, and attentive to different personalities. I create a safe and uplifting space where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate progress—no matter how small. I work with children aged 6–12, as well as beginner ESL students who may be learning English as a second or third language. Whether your child needs help catching up, building confidence, or developing a love for reading, I’m here to guide them with care, creativity, and consistency. Let’s make learning English a journey they’ll look forward to!

My Tutoring Approach:

As a passionate and imaginative English tutor, I believe that learning should feel like an adventure—especially when it comes to reading and spelling. I focus on making lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s pace and personality. I use a story-centered method, drawing from classic and modern tales to spark curiosity and build confidence in both reading fluency and spelling accuracy.

Teaching Methods and Techniques:

I combine phonics-based instruction with fun, interactive activities like word games, storytelling, and guided reading. I often bring in short stories, poems, and mystery-themed exercises to keep young learners motivated and focused. Visual aids, personalized word lists, and context-based learning are key tools I use to ensure new concepts stick.

A Typical Lesson Plan:

Each lesson usually runs for 45–60 minutes and includes:

Warm-up: A fun word game or short story excerpt to activate thinking.

Spelling Focus: Practicing 5–10 targeted words using phonics, repetition, and mini-quizzes.

Reading Practice: Guided reading with vocabulary building, followed by discussion questions.

Creative Application: A short writing or storytelling activity to reinforce new words and boost confidence.

Wrap-up: A recap and quick progress check to celebrate small wins and set goals.

What Sets Me Apart:

I bring a personal love for literature into every lesson. Inspired by authors like Emily Brontë and Agatha Christie, I use storytelling to build a genuine love for language. Growing up in a big Kazakh family, I also understand the importance of patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. I aim to create a safe space where students feel heard, valued, and excited to learn.

Who My Lessons Are For:

My English tutoring is best suited for:

Children aged 6–12 who are learning to read or struggling with spelling

ESL (English as a Second Language) beginners

Students who benefit from creative, visual, and story-based learning styles

Parents looking for a kind, encouraging tutor to support their child’s literacy journey
