About David

Hi, My name is Dave. I love listening, speaking and writing. I am a professional storyteller, an author of kids' books and more. I am a communication specialist. I use most social media and make money on YouTube and Substack. I was born and raised in Northern California and have three adult children of my own who were born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I love using my imagination! I regularly brainstorm new ideas and occasionally, I turn them into stories and articles to share with the world online and in public presentations. I spent 15 years as a church pastor, 10 years as a school chaplain, 3 years as a magazine editor, and 2 years as a mental health support worker. Throughout all that time, I have written books and magazines while also telling stories to children, youth and adults at schools, churches, camps and anywhere else I was invited. About the lesson

I build these based on the needs of the client. Sometimes we build them together! The goal is to help them process the content and learn the topic to their desired level.

My teaching methodology is conversational. Forming a relationship is the best way to increase learning. Lesson length are set with the client—usually an hour.

My qualifications as a tutor are experiential. I have spent more than a decade as a school chaplain in one-on-one sessions with children. I have been an author and editor for the past 20+ years! Writing isn't theory to me - it is action!

I am happy to work with clients of any age or gender. I do not have a required length of service. If I am helping you, let's keep going. If you are finished - for any reason - we will pause interactions until you need me again!
