About Dáithí
My Name is Dáithí de Buitléir and I'm studying Applied languages at the University of Limerick. I study French, Irish and Japanese as part of this course. I studied all of these languages for the Leaving Cert and a H1 in each. I have a great passion for teaching languages, having been a tutor for the past year and previously worked in schools. I will also be working in the Gaeltacht at a Colaiste Samhraidh this year. I have always loved languages, proof of which being that I have won various medals in the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad and represented Ireland at the 2024 International Linguistics Olympiad in Brazil. I am dedicated, positive and patient with excellent knowledge of Irish (grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation), cultural aspects and nuances and the ability to explain concepts simply
