My way of teaching a subject is to show, not tell, which I do by showing students how the concepts explained in the books work in real life, and I encourage important questions to be raised and productive discussions to be made in the process, which further deepens the understanding of a subject. This way the power of knowledge retention increases and that too without any cramming.
