About Maguelone

Future student, welcome !
After a Masters degree in Philosophy at the Sorbonne University and Columbia University, I am now preparing the "agregation", to become professor.
These last years, I have taught Philosophy to a bunch of students who have succeeded in their exams. It was always a pleasure !
It is never too early nor too late to begin Philosophy, so come along !

About the lesson

My courses last from one to two hours, according to the student's needs. Here is how I usually proceed :

I first discuss with the students the nature of the mistakes or difficulties encountered in his past, but also what he or she thinks is his or her strength.
Then, we explore key notions in Philosophy, with a historical approach including author's biographies and the main historical movements.
At last, I give my students the keys to succeed on typical exams. This often implies the elaboration of a problem, the way to present it in an introduction, and the resolution of this problem in the case of a dissertation ; and the right method for explaining an author's reflection in the case of a commentary.
