About Mac

Hi! I'm a third-year Computer Science student with a strong background in math, formal logic, and programming. I offer tutoring for middle school through college-level students who want to build confidence in these subjects, whether you're working on coursework, preparing for exams, or diving into new topics out of curiosity.

About the lesson

My Teaching Method:
I focus on helping students understand concepts at a deep level, not just memorize formulas or code. I use a question-based approach to guide you through problems, identify where things click (or don’t yet!), and tailor each session to your learning style. I believe in breaking big ideas into smaller, manageable parts and building back up from there.

️ A Typical Lesson:
We’ll start by going over your goals or current challenges. Then, we’ll review any relevant concepts, walk through examples together, and work on practice problems or exercises. I bring in visuals, analogies, and interactive code or logic examples whenever possible. Every lesson ends with a short recap and optional exercises to reinforce what we covered.

What Sets Me Apart:
I’ve built real-world coding and logic projects, from a multiplayer server written in C++ to a logic-based handheld blackjack game.

I combine CS, math, and logic fluently—so if you’re struggling to connect theory with application, I can help bridge that gap.

I explain things in a down-to-earth way and never assume prior knowledge. My goal is to help you feel capable and curious.

Who This Is For:
Math: Pre-algebra through calculus, discrete math, linear algebra.

Computer Science: Python, Java, C++, algorithms, data structures, memory management.

Formal Logic: Intro logic, propositional and predicate logic, natural deduction, truth tables, etc.

Students in middle school, high school, or undergraduate college courses.

Perfect for students taking CS or math for the first time, or anyone who wants to go beyond the classroom.
