About Olivia
I achieved 100% in all my GCSE and A Level English exams, and will be beginning my degree in English Literature at the University of Cambridge in October 2020. I have specifically studied the following in detail: a range of Victorian literature, Shakespeare, poetry (particularly contemporary poetry) and dystopian fiction, but have read widely and critically. I am also experienced in the analysis of unseen texts, this having been a requirement for all of my GCSE/A Level exams, as well as for my Cambridge entrance exam and interviews.

I can give lessons in any stage of English Literature learning, up to and including A Level. My primary goal for tutoring is to give you what you need and find what works for you specifically. There's no 'one method fits all', so we can try a few different ways of learning, writing, and revising if necessary. That being said, the methods I have used for learning quotes, going over themes, incorporating context into essays, and all of the other great things about studying literature, seem to work based on my own achievements. Plus, when friends tried them, they were very pleased with the results!! I can offer ways to memorise quotes from texts or critics, steps to follow when writing about unseen texts, and essential essay techniques to name but a few. Like I say, it's all about what you need and suits your learning style!
