About Marcella
I am a current sixth form student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping others learn. I moved to England shortly before sitting the 11+, which meant I had very limited time to prepare, yet I successfully gained entry into a highly competitive grammar school. Going through this process myself helped me understand not only the pressure students face, but also the stress and worry parents often experience during 11+ preparation.
I recently completed my GCSEs with an above A* average, including top grades in English and Maths, and I am now studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A level. I am patient, approachable, and enjoy working with children, regularly helping my younger siblings with their schoolwork. I want to teach because I know how reassuring it can be for families to have calm, reliable support, and I find it rewarding to help students build confidence and succeed.

My 11+ lessons are calm, structured, and focused on developing both confidence and strong exam skills. Each 45-minute lesson is tailored to the student’s level and shaped by my own experience of succeeding in the 11+ and achieving A* grades in English and Maths at GCSE. I explain topics clearly and step by step, making sure students have a solid understanding before moving on.
Lessons cover all key areas of the 11+, including maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, time management, and learning how to approach questions effectively. My aim is for students to feel supported, motivated, and confident as they make steady progress.
