About Alessandra
Hello future tutees! My name is Alessandra, I am a 24-year-old language graduate originally from the UK, with experience in language teaching and educational support. My background in languages has given me a lot of personal experience and perspective on the huge variety in approaches to learning, especially when it comes to creating a space open to creativity, engagement, and fun! I don't consider you as my student, but more as a partner to exchange ideas with, listen to, and guide in your progress and personal development. I love languages and would love the opportunity to share how fun and rewarding learning a language can be!

I provide curated 1-on-1 tutoring in English, French, and Italian for beginners and intermediate students requiring extra support alongside their school curriculum. With previous experience assisting groups of primary school students, I also provide teaching support in all subjects in the national curriculum for ages 6-12. Based on my previous experience at a start-up educational center offering alternative methods of schooling, approaches to teaching, and well-being support, I offer a holistic approach to learning whereby the student is guided in the recognition of their own learning style, requirements, and initiative. During each session of language learning (each 1 hour long), I deliver interactive activities drawing from a range of personal and online resources (PowerPoint, games, exercises, videos). Depending on the student, a more spontaneous approach to the class may be taken based on their specific interests. National Curriculum content and guidelines will also be taken into account and lessons based on material provided by the schooling body if required.
