ചങ്ങനാശേരി സെന്റ് ബർക്ക്മാൻസ് (SB Collage) കോളേജിൽ എം എ മലയാളം പഠിക്കുന്നു. മലയാളം ബി.എഡ് കഴിഞ്ഞു. കുട്ടികളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. മലയാളത്തിലുള്ള ഏത് സിലബസ് കിട്ടിയാലും പഠിപ്പിക്കും. വഴക്കുപറഞ്ഞും തല്ലിയും മാനസിക സമ്മർദ്ദം നല്കിയും പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ തീരെ താല്പര്യമില്ല. ഞാനൊക്കെ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് നിരവധി അധ്യാപനമുറകൾ ഞങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അവയിൽ ചിലതൊക്കെ ഉപകാരപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും കൂടുതലും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കുന്നവയായിരുന്നു...

ക്ലാസിൽ ഞാൻ മാത്രം സംസാരിക്കുന്ന രീതി താല്പര്യമില്ല. കുട്ടികളെ ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് ആ വിഷയം എന്തിന് പഠിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് മനസിലാക്കി പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. ഓരോ കുട്ടികളും വ്യത്യസ്തരാണ്. അത് മനസിലാക്കി അവരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചാൽ ഓരോ കുട്ടികളെയും ഇന്നിന്റെയും നാളിന്റെയും attraction ആക്കി മാറ്റിയെടുക്കാം. നാളെ വലിയ ജോലി കിട്ടുമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് നിർബന്ധിപ്പിച്ച് കുട്ടികളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ ഞാൻ താൽപര്യപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. ഞാൻ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികൾ വളർന്നു വരുമ്പോൾ മിനിമം 10 പേർക്കെങ്കിലും ജോലി കൊടുക്കുന്നവരായി മാറുമ്പോഴാണ് ഒരു ടീച്ചറെന്ന നിലയിൽ ഞാൻ സംതൃപ്തനാവുക.
ഇതൊക്കെ പറയാൻ എളുപ്പമാണ്. പക്ഷേ പ്രവർത്തിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാനാണ് ഞാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്.
