  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

My subject of interest is computer science and programming. My fascination with this field began at a young age when I was introduced to computers around 6-7 years old, during a visit to a cyber cafe. Seeing the machines in action sparked my curiosity, and I started exploring them further. As I delved deeper into the subject, I became intrigued by the intricate world of programming, where lines of code could bring ideas to life and solve a variety of problems. The more I learned, the more captivated I became by the endless possibilities and creative potential of computer science.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

The motivation behind choosing to teach computer science and programming from my own experience as a student. When I was studying, I struggled to find good teachers or mentors who could guide me through the complexities of the subject. Instead, I had to rely on the internet, blogs, videos, and books to learn. This experience highlighted the importance of accessible and effective education in computer science and programming. I want to ensure that other aspiring computer scientists and programmers don't have to go through the same struggles I did. By becoming a teacher, I aim to provide the guidance and support that I wished I had during my own learning journey, helping students navigate the world of computer science with confidence and ease.
  • How does your work help society?

My work in teaching computer science and programming contributes to society by equipping individuals with valuable skills for the digital age. By fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, I empower students to pursue fulfilling careers and address societal challenges. Additionally, I help bridge the digital divide by providing access to quality education and promoting inclusivity and participation in the digital economy. In doing so, I play a role in shaping the future workforce, fostering innovation, and advancing societal well-being.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I believe that people should be adaptable like water. Just as water takes the shape of whatever container it's in, adapting to different situations, I try to learn from everyone around me and take their best practices as my role models. This approach allows me to continually grow and evolve, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources and applying what I learn to my work in teaching computer science and programming.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, my hobby revolves around understanding how things work, focusing on introspection, and learning from both the successes and failures of others. I enjoy delving into various subjects to deepen my understanding of the world around me, whether it's through reading books or engaging in discussions with experts in different fields. This introspective approach helps me continually refine my own skills and perspectives, while studying the experiences of others provides valuable insights that I can apply to both my personal and professional life.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I taught a diverse range of students, including those in classes 11th and 12th, as well as college students pursuing BCA and BTech degrees. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, I provided comprehensive support to help students navigate their coursework, prepare for board exams, and excel academically. Whether it was guiding high school students through their board exam preparations or assisting college students with their BCA and BTech studies, I adapted my teaching methods to the online environment, ensuring that each student received the personalized attention and support they needed to succeed. Despite the uncertainties of the pandemic, I remained committed to empowering students to achieve their academic goals and overcome any obstacles they faced along the way. Most of the students scored more than 90% in exams & some of them are in the top 10% in cybersecurity on TryHackme.
