About Jai
I'm a comics artist who studied art at York and Concordia universities before receiving my master's degree from The Center for Cartoon Studies. I won awards for an autobiographical graphic novel about expectant fatherhood called Waiting for Baby. I've taught cartoon drawing as a language to children and adults over the last twenty years.

I'm very visual so I tend to teach by demonstrating different techniques and approaches. I give my students mini-assignments (tailored to their specific interest in art and comics) to complete between classes, and then we do critiques which become jumping off points into world-building and storytelling.
