About Lawson
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 14 years of teaching and music-related work. I teach piano to school and college students and focus on creating a positive and comfortable learning environment.
Throughout my career, I reached meaningful milestones by helping students overcome fear and enjoy piano playing. Watching students perform confidently has been very rewarding.
My lessons focus on posture, finger movement, rhythm, and music reading. I also introduce music theory in a simple way to support learning.
I believe piano learning helps students improve concentration, emotional balance, and creativity. Music education supports personal growth and self-expression.
My teaching style is patient, clear, and flexible. I adjust lessons to suit each student’s progress and goals.

I take a student-centred, adaptive, and creatively-driven approach to teaching piano, combining technical precision, musical understanding, and expressive performance. I emphasise communication, ensuring students fully grasp techniques, theory, rhythm, and musical interpretation. I design lessons according to each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic—so that learning is effective, enjoyable, and personalised.
I integrate real-life examples and case studies, such as exploring favourite songs, analysing classical works, and demonstrating music in films, performances, or everyday life, to make lessons practical and engaging. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, composition, and performance skills, providing a complete and well-rounded musical education. My approach fosters creativity, technical mastery, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music, enabling students to perform with poise, express themselves musically, and enjoy their journey of learning piano.
