About Billy
I’m a TEFL (120-hour) certified English tutor with experience in teaching, safeguarding and professional communication. I work with learners who want to improve their confidence and clarity in spoken and written English for professional, academic, or everyday use.
I hold a BA (Hons.) degree in Fine Art and Art History and have completed additional training in safeguarding and respectful learning environments. My background includes supporting learners in structured one-to-one settings, helping them develop practical language skills that they can use immediately.
My approach is supportive, patient, and professional. I focus on clear communication, confidence-building, and realistic goals, and I aim to create a respectful, focused learning environment where adult learners feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My lessons are one-to-one, practical and tailored to adult learners who want to use English confidently in professional and everyday contexts. Sessions are typically one hour long and focus on clear communication, vocabulary development, and confident speaking, guided by your goals and real-life needs.
I use a supportive, structured approach, combining guided conversation, targeted language work and feedback to improve clarity, accuracy and confidence. As a TEFL (120-hour) certified tutor with a background in teaching, safeguarding and professional communications, I work best with learners, including newcomers to Ireland, who already have some English and want to use it more effectively.
