About Bluebell
I am a trilingual, positive, caring, compassionate and proactive individual with over ten years’ experience working in different industries, both internationally and domestically. Teaching, however, has by far been the most inspiring and rewarding field I have had the pleasure to work in.
I have always been passionate about language as I find it both beautiful and powerful, and it helps give people a voice. I am fluent in three languages and am a confident communicator and translator. I spent a large part of my childhood growing up in European countries, including Italy, Germany and Spain, and travelling extensively.
In both Italy and Spain, I attended the local schools, thus learning both languages fluently, and in January 2016 I completed my level 3 in Community Interpreting. I also have a basic understanding of German and French.
I was also able to develop more confidence thanks to my recent volunteering work with Unlocking Potential, in which I volunteered in a local primary school supporting children in-class, as well as through art therapy sessions and various activities helping support their social and emotional needs. I have learned new skills, and how to handle challenging behaviour, adjust teaching strategies according to students needs and be a positive role model to many, helping enable kids reach their full potential.
By tutoring and volunteering with both children and young adults, from an array of different backgrounds, I have been able to both engage with and motivate students to start learning English as a foreign language helping them develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of English language and culture, and make a positive impact.
