About Rulvin
Teaching allows me to share my passion for English and Literature while helping students build confidence and develop essential language skills. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when provided with the right guidance and support. My approach is grounded in creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment where learners feel safe to grow, make mistakes, and discover their unique voice. I emphasize meaningful practice, critical thinking, and consistent encouragement to help students reach their goals. As William Butler Yeats aptly said, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” This quote reflects my belief that education should inspire curiosity, self-expression, and a lifelong love of learning.

I offer 1–2 hour English and Literature lessons for primary, secondary, and Form 6 students. With an A in SPM English and an A in STPM Literature in English, I use communicative and task-based methods for language learning, and discussion-based, analytical approaches for literature. Lessons are tailored to build confidence, critical thinking, and strong language skills.
