About Muriel
I am a qualified French tutor and I have an experience of over 20 years teaching my own language to a great variety of students of all ages. I have taught in schools and colleges around the country as well as mature students. I have experience of coaching for exams as well as business, holiday and leisure and conversational. I bring a very relaxed approach to my teaching as I believe that students need to feel at ease in order to make great progress and to enjoy the learning experience.

My lessons are tailored to suit individual students'needs as each learner has different requirements and learning styles. A typical lesson though would include listening and repetition and working on pronunciation, regular questions and answers sessions, to ensure complete understanding, followed by practice and revision to embed comprehension and to make quick and durable progress. I bring a relaxed and approachable attitude to my teaching as I believe that learners need to feel at ease in order to enjoy the learning process and feel confident.

Muriel has been teaching me French for 6 months now and I love it! I have learnt a lot about France and the French language. I have a house in France where I would like to retire so it is vital for me to be able to speak the language as well as understand other people. Muriel is very patient with me and does not mind explaining again or repeating things for me when I am not sure of the meaning. I am very happy to recommend Muriel to other students.
