About Sreeja

I’m the type of person who’s never loved learning straight from a textbook. When I learn a concept, I want to understand it in a way that actually sticks—and I bring that same approach to my teaching. I like to use simple, relatable examples that may not directly tie to the topic but make the idea much easier to understand. Depending on who I’m teaching, I can share plenty of tips and tricks to help make even the more complicated problems feel easy. I guide my students through each problem step by step, making sure they thoroughly understand the concept. I’m also not afraid to admit when I don’t know something—if a concept is unclear, I’m always willing to research it and come back with a clear explanation. More than anything, I don’t want to just be your tutor; I want to be your learning buddy :)

About the lesson

I like to get to know my students and resonate with them on a heart-to-heart level. I can teach students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. I make sure to follow the Ontario curriculum and will teach at a pace that works best for the student. I’m very flexible with how each lesson starts — I can begin with the specific concepts they’re struggling with, follow directly from any textbook they are using, or start straight from the curriculum. I also offer practice worksheets that are tailored to their learning. I believe that it's not just about studying or trying to force a concept into your head, but about learning the concept in a way that isn’t too difficult to remember and still allows you to have fun with it. I personally struggled with math a lot growing up, and I'd like to share my experience with others and help them grow.
