About Samantha

I specialise in History and have been teaching in secondary schools for the last three years in West Yorkshire. I have been teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies to students in Years 7-11.
My passion is History, I enjoy not only teaching it but experiencing it myself. I have travelled all over the world and love to learn about the places I visit as well as how they came to be what they are today.
I grew up in Canada and in university I specialised in History, more specifically British History and in my third year went on exchange for the year to the University of Sunderland so that I could visit the places I had been learning about. This was one of the best decisions I ever made and resulted in me moving back to the UK when I finished school.
I am an energetic, determined, patient and creative person and educating people has been my goal in life for as long as I can remember. Seeing the "light" turn on when someone finally understands a concept they have been stuck on is what keeps me doing what I do and why I love it!
