About Shane
Hi there! I am a Foreign Affairs major undergraduate studying at the University of Virginia; I am also a Chinese native speaker who immigrated to the US in 2022 and transferred to UVA to continue my studies!
I used to study English at Zhejiang University in China, so I understand how difficult it is to study a foreign language, and I hope my expertise in the two languages can help you speak better!

We will practice with topics and scenarios you might meet in real life, and I would be able to find your strength and weaknesses through the practices, and hopefully make you a better mandarin speaker!
-Topic-based disscussions&tutorial
-Friendly atmosphere; opinions valued
-Suggestions based on linguistic knowledge
-HSK test preparation is available with free e-textbooks/practice materials (This would be more efficient in improving your overall ability, but less fun, I guess? )
I used to study English major in China, so the linguistic knowledge I have about the differences between English and Chinese is going to be helpful for your improvement of pronunciation and grammar!
