About Ingrid
"Do club players ever feel like they are stuck behind a wall of tactical errors? My focus is on turning shaky foundations into confident, methodical problem-solving for kids and online players. I am currently a PhD candidate in Statistics at Imperial College London which helps me bring a highly analytical perspective to the board.
Having spent 13 years teaching both maths and chess, I treat every game as a data set waiting to be analysed. I emphasise rigorous calculation and visualisation to eliminate the blunders that often plague competitive play. My approach requires patience and a willingness to look at the board from new angles.
I enjoy seeing the moment a student successfully executes an attacking play they previously found impossible. It is satisfying to watch the game click into place."

"Clarity in calculation is the primary outcome of our sessions together. I provide recorded lesson summaries so you can review complex endgames whenever you need. We focus on piece coordination and consistent blunder checking during our matches.
You will learn to record your games accurately using standard notation for later study. My degree background ensures that your training is based on logical principles. The session ends with a clear path forward for your next tournament."
