About Beren
I am a biology postgrad who has specialised in plant and crop technologies at Newcastle University. I am deeply passionate about the environment and how we can improve sustainability and use science to protect the world around us. I continue tutoring part-time as I find it very rewarding seeing students develop and improve their confidence. My sessions are normally weekly at 1 hour per session, I am living in the Gosforth area so I can offer in-person lessons within a 20-mile radius.

With over 100 hours of Biology tutoring experience, I’ve developed a strong ability to identify students' weaker areas and help them apply the right knowledge to challenging exam questions. I use techniques such as spaced repetition and active recall, while also helping students recognise gaps in their own understanding so they can revise more efficiently. My aim is not only to improve exam performance, but also help students become more confident and independent learners.
