About Isha
My name is Isha, and I love teaching English! I am currently working as a full-time secondary school English teacher. I have two degrees from university, which makes me highly specialised and knowledgeable in my subject: I have a BA English degree, and a Master's degree in English Literature. I also became a published author of poetry at just 19 years old, and would love to help other students achieve their dreams too! I have many years of experience working with students of all abilities, ages and backgrounds. I am passionate about reading and writing, and would like to inspire the same passion in the students that I teach and work with. Every student deserves to reach their full potential, and be able to discover their creativity - and I’d love to be the one to help them in that direction.

Tutoring should be engaging, as well as being presented in a simple and easy to understand format which enhances what they’re being taught at school. 1-1 tutoring allows the student to reap maximum attention and benefit from my tutoring sessions, in ways that would not be possible in classroom or group settings. Using worksheets and important lesson notes, the student will be given all the necessary materials to understand the tutoring lessons, as well as being able to look back at them when revising. The first free session will include completing an assessment to understand the students' needs, their strengths as well as their weaknesses, and gaining an insight into what they need the most help with - whether that be essay writing, understanding texts, spelling/grammar, answering exam questions etc. I will then work together with the student to ensure they achieve work that they are proud of, and boost their understanding and confidence in school! I have several years of experience working as both a private English tutor, and with schools as a full-time English teacher.
