About Gregory
I'm Greg - a 37-year-old father of one, living also in Brentwood and working in the Palisades. On top of my time raising my wonderful daughter, I currently tutor full time at a learning center where I specialize in comprehension of language, math, and science. My favorite topics to teach are in the STEM disciplines (especially computer science), though I do also love literature and language.
I am looking to fill my schedule on the evenings and weekends helping great students unlock their potential and would love the opportunity to reach out to more families in need of academic support.

Doing my best to connect students to the material in front of them, I try to make it all meaningful and relatable. Whether we're talking about easy new ideas or struggling to wrap our minds around an old and fuzzy concept, understanding requires us to care enough to imagine what we're talking about.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Gregory has been tutoring my niece (8) and my nephew (7 ) for the past half a year. They came from Ukraine not knowing how to read in English. Both kids are almost at their grade level now. Gregory also tutored my 2 children (6 and 4.5) and the kids loved the experience. They always waited for him by the window. We had a pleasure of meeting Gregory's daughter as well. What we liked the most about Gregory is that he can engage the kids in different crafts and science experiments and make it fun for every age. We highly recommend him!
As a retired teacher, university professor, academic dean, and longtime acquaintance, it is my pleasure to write this recommendation for Greg Weinrod. Simply put: He is exceptionally bright, well-versed in all levels of mathematics and I am confident his knowledge, skills and caring nature can help others learn—- regardless of their math skill or level. I've known Gregory for many years through his dad and my sons, and I've spent a lot of time with him. I enjoyed our long talks as he shared his exciting and intelligent perspectives. He would be an excellent tutor because of his ability to take complex ideas and concepts and effortlessly put them into layperson's terms, making it easy for anyone to understand. A true gift of an educator! I highly recommend him!!!
Whether with his daughter, nieces, or now his tutor students, Gregory has a knack for making learning fun.
Gregory is always anxious to help people and is always reliable in meeting his commitments.
He can explain or teach concepts in multiple ways as needed for ensuring understanding of the subject matter.
Gregory believes in a positive reinforcement approach to helping others.
Gregory is a kind, compassionate, & astute teacher who has uniquely helped shape my understanding of Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Object Oriented Programming & beyond. He makes learning completely stress free and most importantly, fun! I can't thank him enough
I have known Greg for 35 years. Greg is not just smart. He is one of the sharpest people I've ever met. As a child, after doing things like gym, social studies, and lunch with us, he was bussed to our high school to take advanced math courses with the high schoolers. And he is a genuinely friendly and helpful person – over the years he has always been the person I turn to when I need a little extra insight, or I'm stuck on a tricky problem in my engineering job.
