About Pavan

As a student who needed tutoring and guidance to excel in math, I completely understand the frustration and fear that comes along with math and sometimes not being able to understand certain topics. My goal is to not only just teach you the subject, but also have you leave with an appreciation for math and maybe even start enjoying the subject more and more. I believe that rather than just having you do problems over and over again, learning the concept behind that topic will have you excelling much further than you would have imagined.

About the lesson

As a dedicated tutor and someone who has also struggled in math during my studies, I employ a personalized and collaborative approach to empower students in math subjects up to the high school level, including algebra, precalculus, and calculus. My teaching method emphasizes understanding over memorization, fostering a deep comprehension of mathematical concepts. In a typical lesson, I start by assessing the student's current understanding and learning style. I then create a tailored plan that addresses their unique needs, incorporating real-world examples to make abstract concepts more tangible.

What sets me apart is my commitment to collaborative learning, involving parents in the educational journey to ensure a holistic support system. My lessons not only cover the curriculum but also focus on developing problem-solving skills and critical thinking. I take pride in preparing students for exams with targeted strategies, promoting long-term retention of knowledge.

My tutoring is suitable for high school students seeking assistance in algebra, precalculus, and calculus. Whether a student needs foundational understanding or aims for advanced concepts, I am here to guide them toward success in mathematics, whether it is for school or a college entrance exam.

Perfect! Pavan took the time to get to know the boys and connected with them before jumping in to working on math problems. He is patient and very attentive to their needs and works diligently to boost their confidence by teaching them the several ways one can tackle a math problem. We are so happy and the boys look forward to their lesson every time.

Please don't hesitate to speak with me about prices. I don't want the hourly rate to be the reason why you don't go with a tutor. My main goal with this is to help students excel and help them reach their full potential especially after having to go through an entire pandemic of online school.

Depending on the subjects covered and frequency of the sessions, my hourly rate varies $40-50/hr. For infrequent /random sessions once in a while, it will be higher. If there are any changes to pricing, I will let you know 1 month in advance.
