About Irene
I'm a Trinity College London certified piano performer and ABRSM Theory certified instructor, holding a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Honors) from UCSI University with second class upper division honors. Skilled in both contemporary and classical music, I also serve as the keyboardist and pianist in a band.

In my four years of teaching, I've worked with everyone from toddlers as young as four to adults. My heart lies with primary and secondary students preparing for exams because I believe passing a piano exam and loving the piano should never be mutually exclusive.
While we work through the exam syllabus, I always make sure students are also learning music they want to play, whether that's pop songs or movie themes. If they want to learn a Billie Eilish song, we break down the chords together and suddenly they've learned a complex theory concept without even realising it because they were having fun.
