About Sriramulu
My name is Sriramulu Modadugula(sriram), and I am an undergraduate at Cornell University majoring in Information Science with a strong quantitative and analytical foundation. My academic training spans mathematics, computer science, data science, and analytics, and I bring a structured, disciplined approach to learning and problem-solving. Through both coursework and teaching experience, I have developed a deep understanding of how complex concepts can be explained clearly and effectively.
I approach tutoring with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than shortcuts, ensuring students feel confident in both the concepts and the methods they use. Having served as a Teaching Assistant, I am experienced in working with students at different levels, identifying where confusion arises, and adapting explanations to suit individual learning styles.
Students can expect clear explanations, well-organized lessons, patience, and consistent support. I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and respectful of each student’s goals and time. My aim is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and steadily improving their skills.

My name is Sriram and my approach as a tutor is centered on clarity, structure, and adaptability. I believe effective learning happens when concepts are broken down logically, connected to intuition, and reinforced through practice. My goal is not just to help students arrive at the correct answer, but to ensure they understand the reasoning behind it and gain confidence in applying the concepts independently.
My teaching method focuses on building strong fundamentals first and then gradually increasing complexity. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding and identifying gaps or points of confusion. From there, I explain concepts step by step, often using simple analogies, visual reasoning, or real-world examples to make abstract ideas more accessible. I encourage students to ask questions freely and think aloud, as this helps identify misunderstandings early. I also emphasize problem-solving strategies rather than memorization, so students learn how to approach problems, not just what formula to use.
A typical lesson starts with a brief review of previous material to ensure continuity. I then introduce new concepts in a structured way, followed by guided examples where we solve problems together. As the lesson progresses, I shift responsibility to the student by working through practice problems and discussing different approaches. I usually end the session with a short recap of key takeaways and suggestions on how to practice effectively after the lesson.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my strong analytical background combined with clear communication. As an undergraduate at Cornell University majoring in Information Science, with a solid foundation in mathematics, computer science, and data analysis, I am able to explain complex topics in a simple and logical manner. My experience as a Teaching Assistant has also trained me to adjust explanations based on different learning styles and to remain patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout the learning process.
My lessons are best suited for high school and undergraduate students, particularly those studying mathematics, introductory computer science, data science, statistics, or analytically intensive courses. I work well with students preparing for exams, strengthening fundamentals, or seeking long-term conceptual clarity rather than short-term solutions. I am especially effective with students who want to improve problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in quantitative subjects.
