About Alex
I am an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students achieve their potential. I specialise in Maths up to GCSE level, as well as History and Religious Studies up to A Level. My aim is to make each subject clear, engaging, and manageable by breaking down complex ideas into simple, structured steps. Whether supporting with exam preparation or guiding day-to-day learning, I adapt my teaching style to the individual needs of each student to ensure steady progress and real understanding.

The lessons will be around an hour to an hour and a half depending on the particular student. I set up a peer pupil tutoring scheme at school so I have experience in tutoring maths, history and the sciences. The lessons would be for GCSE level. For History and R/S I would be able to tutor at A level standard and provide students with A* style essays and essay plans. My approach to tutoring is going through certain topics that the student struggles with and then once they are more familiarised with the technique I will give them exam style questions to try and complete themselves which they we will then subsequently go through step by step.
