About Liz
I am a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh, studying Philosophy and English Literature. My aspirations are to teach at college level, and I have already learned some great teaching skills when it comes to English. I have gone through two English based AP courses, and pride myself on my skills of analysis, structure, and writing execution. I also have found that writing philosophy papers have given me more insight in essay writing in general, and has grown my English essay skills!

The lesson plans I will put together will be specified to your needs. Everyone is different, especially when it comes to learning, so your lessons should be too!
If you struggle with text analysis, just let me know what you're reading and I can help you through it by asking questions curated to that text. This will give you the tools to be able to analyze texts on your own.
I can also give you step by step guidance on planning, crafting, and editing an essay. Each lesson can focus on a different part of the writing process, and I will be able to give advice on quotations, citing, structure, vocabulary, and more!
I can also give AP students new skills in timed essay writing. I will give you an essay prompt and time you. Once time is up, we can go over how it feels, what your thought process was, and how to become more efficient in your writing.
My lessons are for anyone in middle school and high school who feel like they want to expand their English skills.
