About Yadesh
I am an undergraduate at York College, Jamaica Queens New York , earning a BA in English with a minor in Education. I have a drive to work with students and improve their outlook on the written language. I have been an avid writer since I was 15 and wrote my first screenplay when I was just 17 while attending High school. Since then I have written almost close to 20 something screenplays and have directed 3 independent films in the last 6 years ranging from horror, thrillers, Science fiction, and drama. I have been writing short stories for the past 5 years as well, with 7 stories to my credit. I am a very patient, courteous and socially outgoing person who does not judge others , but rather finds a way to overcome ones deficiencies in an honest, genuine and practical way, small steps at a time.

The way I like to teach and tutor writing is student centered meaning I like to find aspects within adolescents social life and incoroprate that into some aspect of creative expression to promote familiarity. Students will be entertained yet informed simultaneously is my philosophy as a tutor here at Superprof. A lesson plan that I created as part of my assignments in one of my education courses at York College was to engage students into writing by means of talking about themselves through journals. students would write for a few minutes about something interesting about themselves, hobbies,goals, ect. In turn the exercise would enable students to develop their own unique writing voices . The way to get students excited about the craft of writing is to make it all about the students themselves.
