About Amy
I am a current 1st Year Undergraduate studying for a BA in History, with a passion for literature and heritage, and an enthusiasm to teach and help shape young minds to better their futures. I have experience working closely with my secondary school to provide opportunities: including “book swaps”, reading weeks, leading a school magazine, and independently running a weekly history society, sometimes hosting upwards of 70 fellow students. I am a detail orientated, curious, and diligent individual who values honest communication and hard work, whilst also appreciating the stresses that academic life can have on young people. I would consider it a privilege to be chosen as the trusted individual who helps develop your child’s learning and confidence.

Lessons will typically last an hour, targeting Year 9 students and up, I have predominantly studied OCR History GCSE and A-Level content. Lessons will be student-led, with comprehensive activities to aid students who learn in various ways. I have experience with leading lectures, group work, and discussion throughout secondary school - and having recently experienced A-Level exams, I am in the unique position of having both valuable experience and the understanding that others may lack. I will create a fun and engaging environment for students, valuing honesty and comfort for my students.
