About Maisie
My name is Maisie, I have a PhD in English literature and I am a university lecturer and tutor with over seven years of experience. I love to read (of course) and love to teach! As well as my research I teach literature at university level, and have plenty of experience teaching English Language and Literature at GCSE and A level. My ultimate goal is to help students set achievable targets and meet them!

I provide private GCSE and A Level English lessons catered to students of every proficiency level. I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and offer student-centred lessons with lots of guidance and support to help students excel.
In our first session we will determine what goals you’d like to achieve and what we need to work on to get there (whether this is improving writing and presentation skills, working on comprehension, or getting to know the fundamentals of a core text). To assess the work that needs to be done I set a few short writing and reading tasks, and, most importantly, I chat with both the student and parents.
