About Prentiss
I am a University of Michigan student majoring film with a concentration in screenwriting. I graduated from Harvard Westlake High School. I have always had a passion for writing wether it be taking honors and AP level writing classes or competing in essay writing competitions in my free time.

My approach to teaching writing is unique because I believe its incredibly important to make sure that a students ideas are articulated clearly and that they can look back at there work and feel proud. When helping a student write an essay I will begin with a brain storming session where the student speaks and I take notes on their dialogue. Then they will complete a word vomit assignment trying to incorporate my notes and what we discussed. Then I will teach them how to create an outline and then organize their thoughts into an outline. From the outline multiples drafts will be generated until we reach a final draft.
