About Jadyn
I have loved teaching my entire life, and volunteered a lot of my time towards helping various students of many backgrounds throughout my time in high school and here at UNC. I genuinely love helping people gain confidence and experience the little "lightbulb moments" as I call them.
A few fun facts about me:
1. I have danced for going on 18 years, and taught it for over 6. I am now co-president of a tap dance ensemble on campus.
2. I have two dogs, however, neither of them get to live with me at college (but that makes home visits even sweeter)
3. I am in a sorority at UNC, but rushed as a sophomore, so it has been a very different process for me and I have loved every minute of it.
4. I'm a jack of all trades, so there isn't much I'm not interested in learning about, listening to, or trying at least once.

My approach is based on the knowledge that every person learns differently and has a different process that works best for them, so each session is student-led and custom tailored to their needs. I am more than willing to discuss my experience as a student, because I know school can be hard in various ways. Patience and understanding are very important to me, and so I strive to maintain a stress-free and caring environment throughout every session.
A basic tutoring session would follow this outline:
1. Small introduction :) and Q/A conversation about what they expect to get out of the session
2. Go through materials/problems/notes/etc. according to request
3. Discussion about applications and how to continue moving forward + study habits I have found helpful from my experience
I specialize in General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics, Neuroscience, General Psychology, and Scientific Writing/Research.
My expertise would be best suited for people at the middle school level - undergraduate level.
