About Sofia
I am a PhD student in Statistics and Machine Learning at the University of Oxford. I recently graduated from a Masters in Machine Learning at University of Cambridge, and, before that graduated with first-class honours in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. I am interested in helping both with theory and applications, and have experience in both, having worked at start-ups and at Apple as a part-time Machine Learning Data Engineer. I am Italian and Argentine, but have been lucky enough to study and work all over the world! I look forward to meeting you :)

I am currently a PhD student at Oxford, but I would like to continue teaching as I really enjoy it. I've tutored Maths GCSE and A-level students for years - and have more recently helped students with undergraduate engineering degrees and postgraduate machine learning courses. I am happy to help with anyone struggling with high-level machine learning concepts, the maths behind machine learning, or helping review machine learning essays/thesis work. I am also happy to help with entrance exams or applications. I will do most lessons remotely, and I am flexible with respect to their duration (minimum 1h).
