About Elena
I am a professor at the Ca'Foscari University of Venice, in Italy.
I have been teaching Italian, English, Chinese and Spanish for 15 years to University students and professionals of any field and at all levels. In addition to my academic career, I am also a freelancer with more than 10 years of experience in providing interpretation and technical translation services to various clients and institutions.
I love teaching and passing on my knowledge to people who want to learn.
My motto is: "It is never too late to learn"

I work as a contract professor at Ca'Foscari University, in Venice, Italy. My course is mainly focused on techniques of translation and simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and Italian.
For fifteen years I have been teaching Italian, English, Chinese and Spanish, and I teach university students and professionals from any field and at all levels. I try to engage students by examining the ways in which they can actively participate in class activities and discussions using different online and offline tools and platforms. I believe that students' academic achievement improves with the right course material that can stimulate their engagement.
In addition to my academic career, I am also a freelancer with more than 10 years of experience in providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and technical translation for various clients and institutions. I believe that my experience provides me with a broad perspective on cultural and linguistic diversity that is very useful when teaching languages to students from different backgrounds.
