About Kseniya
I am a University student in Calgary who is willing to give private or group lessons to immigrants wanting to learn English and individuals willing to improve or better their language. I have successfully completed 12 years of school in Calgary, knowing and speaking two languages of my own including English and Russian as well as learning Spanish in my free time. On the weekend I take private ballroom classes and give English tutoring lessons for students needing it.

My teaching methods include "Task-based language learning" which focuses on the completion of a task which in itself is interesting to the learners. Learners use the language they already have to complete the task and there is little correction of errors. Everyday at the end of each lesson and beginning of a new one the next day, I will be using a method called "The Silent Way" where my aim is to say as little as possible so that the learner can be in control of what he wants to say in English. It can be a feedback about how they think this class went, what they would like to focus more on, or a simple "how your day was" response:) I approach my students with flexibility on the assignments given and understand that some may not be completed on time.
