About Holly
I am a studio/session Bass player and I have been playing Bass guitar for around 10 years now. I am currently studying Commercial Music at Massey University, majoring in Music Industry. I have a background in Jazz, and was involved in my school’s premier Jazz Combo and Big Band, in which I was awarded ‘Most Outstanding Bassist’ in the NZSM Jazz Project in 2019.
More recently, I played Festival One over summer and also played Bass at the Peachy Keen Festival supporting Foley in early April.
I am a versatile and experienced musician and have knowledge in playing pop, rock, jazz, funk!

Based on personal experience, the best way to learn an instrument is by having FUN! I like to incorporate music theory into my teaching through learning songs and having a more practical approach rather to develop technique rather than written theory work etc.
