About Hannah
I'm currently doing a Bsc Psychology with Criminology degree with hopes to progress on to gain my Masters and doctorate in the future. I have high GCSE and A level grades in English Literature, French and Sociology and consequently, spent 4 of my secondary school years acting as a mentor to younger pupils during my free time. I also have a range of experience working with young people from my part-time job to my volunteering in a primary school and with a university advice line. Whilst working in the primary school, I specialised in one to one reading and literacy sessions and I have extended these skills by taking a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course which I am soon to be qualified in also.

I would mainly like to deliver classes of an A level and GCSE level but I have sufficient experience and interest in working with younger pupils too. I like to structure my lessons properly with a warm up task to truly grasp the pupil's understanding of the topic, followed by our main activity where we really develop and perfect our skills, and then completed with a consolatory task and maybe a fun 'challenge yourself' game or task if the pupil has progressed and worked really well. Due to the current COVID-19 situation and my university studies, I would prefer to deliver classes online over Microsoft Teams or Zoom. I can assure that this would not affect the quality of tutoring as I am exceptionally well organised so will send over any worksheets needed for the session several days in advance.

My rates are currently £10/ hour for all subjects and abilities but they may increase should the lesson require more in depth preparation and planning such as tutoring to an A level standard.
