About Daniella
Before going off to study English at Exeter, I wrote a monthly column for my local newspaper, interned at a PR agency, and regularly took part in local and international creative writing competitions. This year I was overjoyed to have one of my poems published in a creative writing journal. I also run a creative writing blog on WordPress. I have given informal tutoring to younger students in the past, helping them with both essay style and creative writing. I am in my second year of undergraduate study and passed last year with a first.

As a university student, I offer lessons to secondary school students, particularly those preparing for their GCSEs and A levels. I help students improve their writing by reading through their work with them and working on areas that can be improved. I want to make their learning accessible and exciting by helping them channel their own interests into their writing and approach to literature. One of the best things about English is that it's a subject that calls for your own opinions and perspective, therefore I want to emphasise to the students the importance of their individual approach. I help them read through texts and analyse them, leading them towards their own critical responses. I also show them examples of secondary texts and creative works to inspire them further and aid their studies.
