About Elana
I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017 (Bachelor of Education / Bachelor of Arts - with honours). My teaching areas are English, History and TESOL. I have taught for three years in high schools across Australia and in London. I have experience teaching Year 12 HSC Advanced English. In previous years, I have also tutored approx. 5 students in a 1:1 setting in, who saw significant improvement in their results. I also have experience teaching ESL and special needs students.

My teaching method is very calm and supportive, but I will also challenge students to reach their potential and push themselves. I very much value having a strong rapport with students and understanding their individual learning needs. As I have experience teaching students with additional needs, I am very aware of the need for explicit instruction and positive feedback. I have also taught HSC Advanced English, so am able to challenge high achieving students.
