About Andrew Michél
Hello! My name is Andrew Michél. As a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto with over a decade of professional experience teaching English, my greatest passion is helping students achieve academic success. My journey has taken me from mentoring young learners in Munich to providing intercultural training for employees of BMW and Siemens, and serving as a course instructor in human geography. I am committed to fostering a supportive, professional, and inspiring learning environment where students feel empowered to grow and thrive. My goal is to build confidence and make learning a genuinely engaging and rewarding experience for every student.

About Me & My Philosophy
Hello! My name is Andrew, and I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto with over a decade of experience as an English and intercultural trainer. I've had the pleasure of teaching a wide range of students, from young children in Munich to corporate clients at major companies. My passion is creating a learning environment that is not only effective but also genuinely inspiring, empowering, and fun. Learning is a community effort, rooted in storytelling and connecting what we learn to our own lived experiences.
My Teaching Approach
My lessons are designed to be dynamic, engaging, and tailored specifically to each student's interests and needs.
Forget boring drills and rote memorization. I employ a range of active learning strategies, including storytelling, discussions, and creative media, to bring English to life. My goal is to create a space of trust where students feel confident expressing themselves, asking questions, and growing. I focus on boosting confidence first, as I've found it to be the most essential key to unlocking a student's potential.
