About Ben
I am a recent graduate from the University of York, experienced in audio engineering and guitar performance in contemporary live and studio environments. I started teaching guitar in 2020, before beginning university, and continued teaching while living in York. My lessons are shaped by both my academic background and practical experience, offering students a clear, well-rounded, and enjoyable way to learn guitar.

My guitar lessons take a personalised approach, focusing on each student's unique musical interests and inspirations. Whether you're into rock, pop, jazz, acoustic fingerstyle, or anything in between, lessons are designed to keep you motivated. Each session combines practical playing with a strong foundation in technique and music theory, helping you build a well-rounded understanding of the guitar. We'll work together to develop your skills in a way that suits your learning pace and goals - whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to refine your playing. I am an experienced and educated guitar tutor with a solid background in live performance and having previously taught both privately and for a music establishment. Lessons are typically 45 to 60 minutes with additional homework tasks and are available for students of all levels.
