I don't just teach the syllabus - I show students exactly how to answer questions to maximise marks and how to learn content to truly understand the concept, not regurgitate info. Engineering has taught me that memorising formulas doesn't work; understanding first principles does.

Most students struggle with GCSE and A-Level STEM not because they lack ability, but because traditional schooling teaches them to memorise formulas rather than understand how to apply them. The moment an exam board throws a novel, multi-step problem at them, their learning falls apart.

I replace guesswork with reliable frameworks. Students learn how to break complex, unfamiliar questions down into simple, methodical steps so they never freeze in an exam. But, understanding the theory is only half the battle. I train students on the exact working methods and layouts examiners look for to consistently turn Grade 6/7s into 8/9s, and B grades into A/A*s.

I love to learn and I love to teach. I always used to tutor my close friends in years below me on the weekends as a way of keeping in touch while I was at uni and helping them get to grips with topics they find hard.

About the lesson

Every lesson is designed to move past memorisation and build an intuitive, first-principles understanding of core concepts. Having recently navigated GCSEs and A-Levels myself - and now studying Engineering at university - I teach the exact problem-solving frameworks and study habits that yield top grades. This is all delivered in an approachable, supportive setting where asking questions is never intimidating, but encouraged.

My lessons will be structured: we will identify gaps in the knowledge or topic areas that feel unclear; then we explore methods to solving the problem using practical analogies and examples; we work through complex problems together, transitioning from guided practice to independent solving and; we deconstruct past-paper questions to ensure we maximise your marks.
