About Alex
I`ve been tutoring for over a decade now in a variety of subjects and countries. I have taught and tutored in Kenya, Canada, Australia, Hungary, Japan and England - in mostly English and Maths but especially any subjects where comprehension and writing skills are at the fore.
I enjoy helping students of all ages (I`ve taught all the way from 4 years old to adults), to improve their knowledge and understanding. I work hard to build rapport with all my students as this is vital for maximised learning. Furthermore, before I start I make sure both parties are clear on what the goals are from tutoring and that both are happy with how to proceed. I also take pride in working hard to understand the learning styles and personalities of each of my students so I can tailor my teaching to suit their individual needs.

It's all about confidence. Once we understand each other well, and I show you just how much more capable you are, we can make rapid progress you didn't even think possible before.
Lessons are about finding out exactly how you learn, and what motivates you to be the best you can be.
I pride myself on getting to know all my tutees very closely. From this solid grounding, we can make the quickest and most long lasting improvements.

Alex was a key part in my daughter succeeding in GCSE English. We knew that she had the ability but she lacked the confidence in that ability.
Alex's tuition gave her a real boost and she began engaging and participating in class. That confidence also flowed through to her other subjects as well.
I thoroughly recommend Alex as a tutor.View more recommendations
