About Vanessa
I have been playing the violin since the age of seven. At the age of thirteen, I decided that I wanted to become a musician, and with distinctions in Grade Eight on both violin and clarinet at the age of 15, the choice was not easy. I am now in my third year studying at the Royal Northern College of Music as a violinist. I have lots of performing experience as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician having performed in some of the greatest venues in the UK and abroad including The Sage, Gateshead, Kings Place in London and Bridgewater Hall. I also have lots of experience performing in pit bands for musicals and opera including for companies such as NYMT (National Youth Musical Theatre).

I have been teaching the violin and clarinet since the age of seventeen and have gained a lot of experience teaching beginners to Grade 8 standard. I am very enthusiastic in teaching the next generation of musicians and to inspire them in the joys that music can bring to our lives and others around us. I believe very strongly that learning a musical instrument is one of the most beneficial experiences that leads to a lot of pleasure and I would love to be apart of someones musical journey. I have had a very high success rate with many of my students gaining distinctions in ABRSM and Trinity exams.
