Riya has been teaching me French for the past 2 months and it's great to finally have found a teacher who is so passionate about the language as well as being well trained! I learn so much in class while conversing in French with her. Her style of teaching is so fresh and practical that while you are learning new things through conversations (understanding it practically) she also makes and customizes her own exercises and notes. It's a pleasure to learn from her.

I have been learning Ear training, Music theory, and voice from Riya for the past year. She has changed my perspective on theoretical knowledge. She uses practical examples to explain each topic and even a boring subject like ET can be fun in her way of teaching.

She has been a great teacher because she is understanding, patient and well experienced with teaching. Her classes are well planned and it shows her well absorbed knowledge of music.

Music theory can be a daunting subject to approach. Most musicians tend to shy away from it for this reason and due to the lack of decent and understanding teachers. As a peer and colleague of Riya I can safely say that this isn't the case with her methods and knowledge when it comes to music theory.

She has a great grasp on ideas and concepts related to the subject and like any good teacher , has the ability to relay said concepts in multiple ways and to pertain to different kinds of situations.

She is an enthusiastic , energetic and patient teacher who makes students feel welcome regardless of their experience when it comes to music.

Music theory isn’t easy. But you could make it easy but making it fun! That’s what Riya does. All the classes I’ve had with her, she’s made everything joyful! There isn’t a moment when you feeling like you’re studying something, it just feels like a chat you’re having with a friend about all your queries. If you don’t understand anything, she make sure that you are able to clear your doubt! Definitely worth it as you won’t be afraid of music theory, rather you might just end up enjoying it!
